Inventory Sync keeps your Amazon stock aligned with Shopify. It shows FBA availability for products Amazon fulfils, and pushes FBM (merchant-fulfilled) stock from Shopify to Amazon so your listings do not oversell. Inventory Sync is available on the paid plans.

FBA and FBM​

The app distinguishes two fulfilment types:

  • FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) — Amazon holds and ships the stock. FBA availability is read-only here: the app shows you what Amazon reports, but Amazon owns the number.
  • FBM (Fulfilment by Merchant) — you hold and ship the stock. FBM quantities are synced from Shopify to Amazon, so your Shopify stock level drives the Amazon listing.

The counts at the top tell you how many of your listed products fall into each type.

Listed products​

Products you have published with Product Sync appear here with their live Amazon inventory. If you have not published anything yet, the app tells you so and points you to Product Sync — inventory appears once a product is listed.

Price-mapped products (read-only)​

Products you have mapped for price sync only (not published via Product Sync) are shown in a separate, read-only section. Where the SKU is Amazon-fulfilled, the app shows the FBA availability; otherwise it shows the Shopify quantity. This lets you see stock for mapped products even before you publish them as listings.

Syncing FBM stock​

  • Sync all FBM inventory pushes current Shopify stock levels to Amazon for all merchant-fulfilled listings at once.
  • Refresh reloads the latest availability from Amazon.
  • With scheduled syncing enabled, FBM stock is kept in step automatically on your plan's interval.

FBA numbers reflect what Amazon holds and cannot be changed from here — manage FBA stock in Seller Central or through a shipment plan (see the Suggested inventory tab in Analytics). Inventory Sync's job is to keep your FBM listings from overselling relative to Shopify.
